Service Area
The Health Center serves Boone County and the six contiguous counties of Antelope, Greeley, Madison, Nance, Platte, and Wheeler. Twelve rural communities are served by five satellite clinics.
Organization
The Health Center's primary facility is a 25-Bed, 5 neonatal layette health center in Albion. Five physician clinics serve the towns of Albion, Spalding, Newman Grove, Fullerton, and Elgin, and the Health Center is affiliated with Drs. Joyce and Terry Troyer, who operate and staff clinics in St. Edward and Cedar Rapids. Seven full-time doctors and three physician assistants are on-staff at the Health Center, along with nearly 200 support staff.
Governance
A Board of Trustees with geographical representation of the service area is appointed by the Boone County Commissioners for a six-year term. A Board member may serve two six-year terms. The Board of Trustees is accountable to the Boone County Commissioners.
Foundation
The mission of the Boone County Health Center Foundation is to seek, receive and administer donations and gifts which support health care offered to the service area by Boone County Health Center and clinics.
