2007 Department of the Year - Central Supply
The Central Supply Department was chosen by BCHC staff as the Department of the Year based on their work to completely move all 23,000 inventoried hospital supplies and transition to a new building without a glitch in service. The move, which took over a week to complete, saw staff working all shifts until the Department was up and running in their new location north of the Allied Health building in Albion. Sandy Bode, Janice Mangelsen and Brian Henry are the staff that operates the Central Supply Department at the hospital. They are responsible for inventories, (paperclips to surgical equipment), purchasing and stocking all departments at the Health Center and medical clinics.
