BCHC Employees adopt 126 Children for Christmas Season
Staff members from Boone County Health Center took on an ambitious project this Christmas season. They “adopted” 48 families and 126 children from schools within the hospital’s six-county service area.
Hospital employees came up with the idea as a way to say “Thank You” for support that BCHC has received throughout the past year.
BCHC staff bought and donated toys, gift certificates and clothing to help make the season brighter for these families.
On December 12, they assembled and wrapped the gifts. During this time the Brewed Bean provided snacks for the employees.
Many other local businesses supported the project with donations of gifts. These businesses included Alco, Well’s Drug and Hallmark, Albion True Value, The Boot Rack, Radio Shack, and Bomgaars.
