Breastfeeding class

Instructor: Clarissa Stuhr

Clarissa’s goal for the class is to give you the information and tips that you need to be able to make breastfeeding your baby as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Breastfeeding should be a time of bonding and joy for you and your baby.
Although breastfeeding is a very natural process, it is a learned art. In the class parents will learn the art of breastfeeding, the way a woman’s body changes to prepare for breastfeeding her baby, breastfeeding positions, and correct latch-on technique. Information is offered regarding a breastfeeding woman’s milk supply and how to tell if your baby is receiving enough milk. Clarissa also explains the correct way to pump and store breast milk. This information can be especially helpful to mother’s who wish to return to work, but still would like to nurse their baby.
Even if you have breastfed before, this class will offer you encouragement and tips to make breastfeeding a wonderful experience for you and your baby.
First-time mothers are encouraged to attend, but mothers who have breastfed before are more than welcome as well and will still benefit from the class.
Mothers are welcome to bring their husband, mother, or whoever will be there to support them after their baby is born. A good support system and encouragement is vital while breastfeeding.
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact Clarissa at: 402-843-8791.Hope to see you there!
