Child Car Seat Safety

Putting a child’s safety seat into a vehicle can be very confusing.  Doing it properly is important for your child’s safety!

Here at Boone County Health Center we are committed to the safety of your children.  BCHC offers a Child Safety Seat Inspection Station every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Nicole Levander is a certified Car Seat Technician and can help you install your child’s car seat and answer any questions you may have.  Please call (402) 395-3165 for more information.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children of every age from 2 to 14 years old.  In the United States, an average of 5 children 0-14 years old were killed and 568 were injured every day in motor vehicle crashes during 2006.
