Cardiac Rehab Area

Three spacious rooms compose the new Cardiac Rehabilitation area, with each designed for a special purpose. The main area is enlarged andCardiogym features a new rubberized, joint-friendly floor. New state-of-the-art equipment and audio-visual system will be added. The second, smaller area is for patients just beginning rehabilitation, recovering from surgery or starting a preventative cardiac program. Adjacent to the smaller cardiac rehab area is a private education room,where patients can meet one-on-one with staff.

New Commons Area 

 

Commons AreaThe new centralized Commons Area is supported by dietary services as a hub for patients using the hospital rehab services. The new location will provide patients a spot where they can socialize or rest after therapy. The area features a new serving area and menu options complementing individual or group seating. It provides the Health Center Staff a new space for meetings and cafeteria services.

Physical Therapy


The new Physical Therapy center at the Rudman Rehabilitation Center includes four treatment bays, enlarged exercise and evaluation area, andPhysical Therapy a new hydrotherapy room used for the treatment and care of wounds. Physical therapy is the use of exercise, therapy and physical activity to help in the management and rehabilitation of medical problems, restore strength, muscle tone and movement resulting from accidents, surgery or aging.

 

Occupational Therapy

Occupational TherepyOccupational Therapy provides skilled treatment focused on increasing a person's independence in all areas of life. The new OT suite will feature a full kitchen, bathroom and sleeping area. Patients will learn skills promoting independence while preparing them to go home from a hospital stay.
