Building Project Update – September 22, 2009

Elevator pit poured, backfilled, and protected
For the average onlooker passing by the hospital’s building project, things seem to be inching along. But looks can be deceiving! A majority of major infrastructure work, often unseen by the public, is taking shape. As long as the weather holds, the project will continue with this type of crucial work taking shape. During the next two weeks through the end of September and the first week of October, the foundation walls will be waterproofed; underground electrical and plumbing put into place; preparation, framing and the first course of concrete poured for the elevator pit and work will begin to pour the slab for the new basement.
This information was provided by Josh Probasco, Project Superintendent, Beckenhauer Construction.
