Respiratory Therapy


    Boone County Health Center's Respiratory Therapy department helps patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary problems. Patients range from infants to elderly adults.

    During a hospitalization, patients are treated for conditions such as:

  • Asthma
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Pneumonia
  • Heart failure
  • COPD
  • Acute mechanical ventilation

    The Respiratory Therapy department provides treatments that include:

  • Sleep Diagnostics
  • Sleep studies to check for sleep apnea
  • Aerosol Therapy
  • Oxygen Therapy
  • Incentive Spirometry
  • Chest Physiotherapy
  • Mechanical Ventilation
  • BIPAP Therapy
  • Pulmonary Function Diagnostics
  • EEGs

    Patients can have a sleep study done at Boone County Health Center with a referral from their primary care provider.
