Medical Staff

The backbone of the Boone County Health Center is its medical staff. For a health center of our size, we're fortunate to have such a large and highly-trained group of doctors and physician assistants. Together, our seven doctors and three PAs work as a team to provide outstanding medical care to our area communities. We're proud of our dedicated and caring medical staff, and would like to introduce them to you here:

Dr. Tami DoddsDr. Dodds

Tami Dodds, MD, grew up in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, and joined BCHC in 2007. She attended college at Wayne State in Wayne, Nebraska and earned her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Faith Regional Health Services UNMC Rural Training Track for Family Medicine. Dr Dodds works at the Boone County Medical Clinic, Newman Grove Medical Clinic, and the Nance County Medical Clinic.

Dr. Dodds is a member of the American and Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. She and her husband Bill reside in Albion and have three children.

Dr. Bradley HuppDr. Hupp

Bradley Hupp, MD, a native of Norfolk, Nebraska, joined BCHC in 1995. He attended college at Doane in Crete, Nebraska and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is certified a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner. Dr. Hupp works at the Boone County Medical Clinic, Nance County Medical Clinic, and the Elgin Veterans' Medical Clinic.

Dr. Hupp is a member of Nebraska Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practice. He and his wife Michelle reside in Albion and have four children.

Dr. Lynette KramerDr. Kramer

Lynette Kramer, MD, grew up in Bridgeport, Nebraska and has been with the BCHC since 1998. Dr. Kramer attended Chadron State College and earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She works at three BCHC clinics: the Boone County Medical Clinic, the Nance County Medical Clinic, and the Elgin Veterans' Medical Clinic.

Dr. Kramer is a member of the Nebraska Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Practice and AOA. She and her husband Todd reside in Albion and have three children.

Dr. Anthony KusekDr. Kusek

Anthony Kusek, MD, a native of Ord, Nebraska, has been with the BCHC since 1987. He attended college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned his medical degree at Creighton Medical School. Dr. Kusek works primarily at three of BCHC's clinics: the Boone County Medical Clinic, the Newman Grove Medical Clinic, and the Spalding Medical Clinic.

Dr. Kusek is the city physician for Albion and Lindsay and a member of the Nebraska Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practice. In 1995 he was named the Rural Health Care Practitioner of the Year and in 1999 he was the Caring Kind Award Winner. Dr. Kusek was named the 2005 Physician of the Year by the Nebraska Medical Association. He and his wife Carol reside in Albion and have three children.

Dr. John MazourDr. Mazour

John Mazour, MD, a native of Nelson, Nebraska, joined the BCHC staff in 1994. Dr. Mazour attended college at Creighton University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He works in three BCHC clinics: the Boone County Medical Clinic, the Spalding Medical Clinic, and the Newman Grove Medical Clinic.

Dr. Mazour is a Board Certified Family Practitioner and a member of the Nebraska Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Mazour has recently started the Women's Health Specialty Clinic. He and his wife Kayleen reside in Albion and have six children.

Dr. Joel TravisDr. Joel Travis

Joel Travis, MD, a native of Wauneta, Nebraska, joined the BCHC in 1995. Dr. Travis attended Nebraska Wesleyan University and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He works at three BCHC clinics: the Boone County Medical Clinic, the Elgin Veterans' Medical Clinic, and the Nance County Medical Clinic.

Dr. Travis currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the BCHC medical staff. He is a Board Certified Family Practitioner and a member of the Nebraska Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He and his wife Anastasia reside in Albion and have six children.

Dr. Joyce TroyerDr. Joyce Troyer

Joyce Troyer, MD, a native of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska, joined BCHC in 1985. She attended college at Greenville College in Greenville, IL and completed her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Troyer specializes in pediatrics and works at the St. Edward Medical Clinic.

Dr. Troyer currently serves on the Board of Directors for Central Nebraska Community Services and is a member of the Nebraska Academy of Pediatricians. She is married to Dr. Terry Troyer, a fellow employee of the BCHC. The Troyers reside in St. Edward and have three children.

Dr. Terry TroyerDr. Terry Troyer

Terry Troyer, MD, a native of rural Shickley, Nebraska, has been with the BCHC since 1985. He attended college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Troyer works primarily at the St. Edward Medical Clinic and also has clinic hours at the Cedar Rapids Medical Clinic twice a month.

Dr. Troyer is a member of the Nebraska Medical Association and a fellow with the American Academy of Family Physicians. In 2001, he was named Medical Director of the Year for the Northeast District of Nebraska. He is married to Dr. Joyce Troyer, a fellow BCHC staff member. The Troyers reside in St. Edward and have three children.

Jacquelyn Brugman, PA-C

Jacquelyn Brugman, a certified Physician's Assistant, is a native of Albion, Nebraska and joined the BCHC in 1991. Jacquelyn earned her LPN certification from Platte College and later attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center to earn her PA certification. She works primarily at the Nance County Medical Clinic, the Newman Grove Medical Clinic, and the Boone County Medical Clinic.

Jacquelyn was named the Physician's Assistant of the Year for Nebraska in 2001. She and her husband reside in Albion and have three children.

Sandy Henry PA-CSandra Henry, PA-C

Sandra Henry, a certified Physician's Assistant, is a native of Abie, Nebraska and has been with the BCHC since 1991. Sandra attended college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned her PA certification at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She works primarily at the Newman Grove Medical Clinic, the Spalding Medical Clinic, and the Boone County Medical Clinic.

Sandra offers an asthetics clinic at the Health Center that includes services such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Botox, and sclerotherapy. Sandra and her husband Brian reside in Albion and have four children.

Erin McKown PA-CErin McKown, PA-C

Erin McKown, a certified Physician's Assistant, joined the Boone County Health Center in November 2003. Prior to joining BCHC, Erin worked for the Callaway and Arnold Medical Clinics and the Callaway District Hospital in Custer County. Erin attended college at Chadron State College and earned her Masters of Physician Assistant degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She works primarily at the Newman Grove Medical Clinic, the Spalding Medical Clinic, and the Boone County Medical Clinic.

Erin and her husband Chad reside in Albion.

Erin McKown PA-CSarah Mahoney, PA-C

Sarah Mahoney, a certified Physician's Assistant, is a native of Barlett, Nebraska and has been with the BCHC since 2007. Sarah attended college at Chadron State and earned her PA certification at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1996. She works primarily at the Saint Edward Medical Clinic, as well as the Cedar Rapids Medical Clinic

Sarah and her husband reside in Spalding, NE with their two children.

 

Erin McKown PA-CKelli Frey, PA-C

Kelli Frey, a certified Physician's Assistant, is a native of Albion, Nebraska and has been with the BCHC since 2009. Kelli attended college at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and earned her PA certification at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2009. Kelli is available at all of the Boone County Health Center facilities in Albion, Elgin, Spalding, Fullerton, and Newman Grove.

Kelli and her fiancé reside in Albion.
